The results were recorded and an average value determined. KCl solid sample was then crushed in a mortar, and the powder poured into a 50 ml beaker placed in a cold water bath. This was followed by dissolving the solid in 2 ml of water and dropwise addition until the whole solid had dissolved.The total volume was the recorded.
